On July 17, 1960, Mark was born in London, England, the son of Archie and Jean Burnett, who were both factory workers at Ford Motors. He grew up as their only child in Dagenham, Essex, in a Christian family. It is not known which primary school(s) he attended, but we do know for certain that Mark Burnett joined the British Army at the age of 17.

The Briton was dedicated and dedicated to fulfilling his military duties and showed good leadership qualities, so he became section commander in the parachute regiment. Mark served in the 3rd Battalion, Parachute Regiment in C Company between 1978-82, and as a trained fighter he took up and returned fire in the Falklands War.

Until 1982 he emigrated to the country of unlimited possibilities – the USA, at the invitation of his friend Nick Hill, who worked as a nanny and chauffeur. Upon his arrival, Nick informed him that there was a nanny position available with the wealthy Jaeger family from Beverly Hills in Beverly Hills. He worked there for a year before joining the Burt family in the beach town of Malibu, California, where he earned $250 a week to care for two boys. Later, Mark left both his insurance job and his T-shirt business in 1991 to participate in a French adventure contest called “The Raid Gauloises”. As an astute businessman, he quickly recognized the unexplored possibilities and modifications that could be made in the show to create more business value. So he acquired the format rights for a similar competition and founded Eco-Challenge, which subsequently launched his career as a television producer.

After he discovered his path, one career success after another followed for the former nanny. Mark Burnett is best known for his work on the reality show Survivor, for which he took home several awards. Mark Burnett married Dianne J. Burnett (née Valentine) in 1992 and from their union he had two sons named James and Cameron. Their marriage seemed to have suffered a lack of what kept the marriages going, as the once happy couple and the parents of two filed for divorce in September 2002, a legal separation ruling was issued in December 2003, and they finalized the divorce in 2006 when their two boys were 8 and 4 years old.
