Biography of Mark Burnett
On July 17, 1960, Mark was born in London, England, the son of Archie and Jean Burnett, who were both factory workers at Ford Motors. He grew up as their only child in Dagenham, Essex, in a Christian family. It is not known which primary school(s) he attended, but we do know for certain that Mark Burnett joined the British Army at the age of 17.
The Briton was dedicated and dedicated to fulfilling his military duties and showed good leadership qualities, so he became section commander in the parachute regiment. Mark served in the 3rd Battalion, Parachute Regiment in C Company between 1978-82, and as a trained fighter he took up and returned fire in the Falklands War.
Until 1982 he emigrated to the country of unlimited possibilities – the USA, at the invitation of his friend Nick Hill, who worked as a nanny and chauffeur. Later, Mark left both his insurance job and his T-shirt business in 1991 to participate in a French adventure contest called “The Raid Gauloises”. As an astute businessman, he quickly recognized the unexplored possibilities and modifications that could be made in the show to create more business value. So he acquired the format rights for a similar competition and founded Eco-Challenge, which subsequently launched his career as a television producer.
