Although he has starred in only six films since 1998 with a role difference of up to five years, he is the only male actor in history to have won three awards in the leading actor category and one of only three male actors to win three Oscars. He also won four BAFTA awards for Best Actor, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Golden Globe Awards. To top it all off, Time Magazine named Daniel Day-Lewis the best actor in the world in November 2012.
