Timothée Hal Chalamet was born on 27 December 1995, the daughter of a French father and an American mother. His mother Nicole Flender was a Broadway actress and ballet dancer. His French-born father Marc Chalamet was responsible for publications for the UNICEF office in France.
Chalamet grew up in Manhattan, New York, alongside his sister Pauline, who is a ballet dancer and actress.
