Kate Gosselin is an American reality star and a television personality. Her claim to fame began when she received both international and national recognition for her reality television show Jon & Kate Plus 8. The show followed Kate and her husband as they raised their eight children – a set of sixes and a pair of twins.

Kate Irene Kreider (Gosselin is her married name) was born on March 28, 1975, in Philadephia.
It is common knowledge that the reality star was once a registered nurse; this was after she attended and completed a graduate program at Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. She then worked as an obstetrician and midwife in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. This shows that Kate had a different career plan than where life took her.
Career
In September 2009 TLC announced that Jon & Kate Plus 8 (the reality show) will now be called Kate Plus 8 because they had decided to focus on Kate’s journey as a divorced mother. Her husband continued to appear infrequently on the show, but the show was canceled in November 2009 when Jon decided to stop shooting altogether.
Since then Kate Gosselin has tried to get several shows but without success. She even filmed a pilot for a talk show with the celebrity chef and host of the cooking show – Paula Deen. The show was not picked up, however. The reason why Kate was unlucky with her several shows was that many TV executives thought she was too controversial.
Later she joined the tenth season of Dancing With The Stars, where she performed with Tony Dovolani, an Albanian-American professional ballroom dancer and dance teacher, as a partner.

In 2010 it was announced that Kate Gosselin would get her own TV show on TLC, Twist Of Kate. The show showed Kate traveling around the country and visiting mothers who had previously written to her about their stories.
Kate Gosselin and her children appeared in an episode of Celebrity Wife Swap, in which she swapped places with Kendra Wilkinson. She also hosted The View, an American talk show, twice.
Kate Gosselin is also an author and has published three non-fiction books. Her first book was written with her husband and Beth Carson and was entitled Multiple Blessings. The book made the New York Times bestseller list after selling over half a million copies.
Her second book, Eight Little Faces, was published in 2009, and this book also made the New York Times bestseller list, as did her third book, I Just Want You To Know, which was published in 2010.

The future reality star was born by Charlene Ruth Kreider and Kenton Eugene Kreider. Kate is of German, English, and Scottish descent. She has three sisters – Kendra, Christen, and Clairissa; she also has a younger brother, Kevin.

In 1997 she met her future husband, Jon Gosselin, at a company picnic. In June 1999 they got married. More than a year later, in October 2000, she gave birth to twin girls – Madelyn and Cara. The girls were born five weeks early.
Kate had undergone fertility treatment because she could not become pregnant otherwise due to her polycystic ovarian syndrome. She became pregnant again through further treatment and on 10 May 2004 she gave birth to her now-infamous six children – Alexis, Aaden, Hanna, Collin, Leah, and Joel.

This time her babies were born ten weeks prematurely. It’s actually quite common for babies born as a result of fertility treatments to be born too soon. As a result of the premature birth, the six babies had to be put on a ventilator. Kate said that very early in the pregnancy there were seven embryos, but one of them did not develop.
After several years together, Kate and Jon announced on 22 June 2009 that they would separate. They also announced that their children would stay in their house and that they would be the ones to move back and forth during this time.
After their divorce, the producers did not know how the show would run as the main premise was that they would both raise their children. Their divorce was finalized in December 2009 and Kate was given primary custody of the children and ownership of the family home.
Sometime in 2015, the news circulated that the reality star had found love again. She is said to have gone out with Jeff Prescott. While many hoped that she and the millionaire would become man and wife, it turned out that their love had become stale.
