Her father, Richard Stephen Sambora, was born on July 11, 1959, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, USA, to a strict Catholic family.
Richie, who is of Polish descent, grew up in Woodbridge Township, New Jersey, where he attended Woodbridge High School, a public high school in Irvine, California, USA. He graduated in 1977.
