Aidan Turner is an Irish actor who could be called one of the definitions of a sex symbol lately. Famous for the role he played in the fantasy trilogy The Hobbit as Kili, and more recently on the BBC remake of Winston Graham’s 2015 Poldark novels, he plays the leading role of Ross Poldark. Born on June 19, 1983, in Clondalkin, Dublin, Ireland, Aidan is Irish-born. He attended secondary school at St. Mac Dara’s Community College in Templeogue. He later moved to Firhouse Community College to finish it, and when he finished this stage of his life, he attended the Dublin Acting School Gaiety School of Acting, which he was to graduate from later in 2004.
When he graduated from the Gaiety School of Acting, Turner began participating in numerous plays. Some of them were Romeo and Juliet, The Plow and the Stars, and A Cry from Heaven. His television screen career began with an appearance in the Tudors in 2007, and the following year he began appearing in recurring episodes of The Clinic between 2008 and 2011. He also appeared in the BBC production Desperate Romantics and then between 2009 and 2011 in Being Human, where he played the vampire John Mitchell.
In 2007 and 2008, Turner appeared in several films, including The Sound of People, Matterhorn, and Alarm. He was brought on board for the role of Kili in the Hobbit trilogy by Peter Jackson. His role in the second part of the series earned him the Empire Award for Best Male Newcomer. When the trilogy series ended in 2014, Turner began in 2015 with a role in a BBC mini-series and then began shooting the remake of the BBC series Poldark.

Aidan Turner is the second son of Pat Turner and Eileen Turner. The family lived in Clondalkin, Dublin before moving to Walkinstown. Aidan has an older sibling, a brother named Colin. When he started attending Firhouse Community College, his brother Colin was also there. Colin Turner runs the School of Engineering in their hometown and is also a professor of engineering education.
Wife, Dating, Girlfriend
Aidan Turner is not married and never has been. But with his stunning good looks, he has seen his fair share of romances with equally attractive women. The first of many was the actress India Whisker, whom he met in 2004 at acting school in Dublin. When that ended, he started dating Charlene McKenna, also an actress. The two were a couple between 2007 and 2009, they lived together in Camden, North London, while the relationship lasted.
After the relationship with Charlene ended, Turner fell in love with Lenora Crichlow, who co-starred in the BBC television series Being Human. They were a couple from 2009 to 2011, but when they broke up in 2011, Turner seemed to find the breakup the hardest, as he decided to end the series while Lenora continued.
His next relationship was with Irish actress Sarah Greene, with whom he has been dating since 2011. Sarah, herself an actress, had a job that required constant traveling, and it was during this time that Turner shot the fantasy trilogy The Hobbit. With her busy schedule, it was difficult for them to spend as much time together as they wanted. In 2015 they separated. There were rumors that he reunited with Lenora in 2016 when they were spotted together over a drink in Los Angeles. However, he is currently with Tara Derakshan.
